Our Founder

Led by a clinician who knows the ward.

Loraine Mahachi is an experienced registered nurse and specialist practitioner in Adult Nursing, with a focus on Endoscopy. She brings over 22 years of expertise in healthcare, including extensive service within the NHS.

Loraine has served in regional and national committees, including a role on the British Society of Gastroenterology Nurses Committee. She is proficient at publishing evidence-based practice papers and presenting at various national and international conferences.

She also serves as a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City University, shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

The Inspiration

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Loraine watched her son thrive using gamified learning tools. That moment sparked a powerful insight — immersive technology doesn't just teach, it transforms how people learn.

The idea was instant: if gamified, immersive experiences can accelerate learning this effectively — why not bring VR to endoscopy nurse training?

Loraine channelled her healthcare expertise and passion for innovation into building EndoNurseVR — the immersive training platform that is setting a new standard for how nurses learn.
